The infamous invoked MR BONES WILD RIDE is an example of a player-created one.You can also create your own, and get an "award" for it. Amusement Park of Doom: Fiasco Forest in Corkscrew Follies starts out with a fatal accident on a ride named Death Slide (unless you pause the game right after entering the scenario), and marketing campaigns for the park are disabled, presumably due to its bad reputation.Possibly justified as in-universe examples since this is, quite literally, The Theme Park Version. All Deserts Have Cacti: Most of the desert stages have a small batch of cacti somewhere.A good deal of the scenarios have them, such as Forest Frontiers, Leafy Lake, and Dynamite Dunes. The titles of the expansion packs for the first and second game have alliterations.Acceptable Breaks from Reality: Because currency exchange rates are always changing and almost never turn out to be clean round numbers, the different currencies in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 all have static and clean conversions by a factor of either 1, 10 or 100 depending on the currency.
This video game series provides examples of:
RollerCoaster Tycoon Story (2020): A mobile game for iOS and Android based around Candy Crush-style gameplay.
Later ported to Windows and macOS computers via Steam on September 28, 2017, with Steam Cloud support and all in-app purchase content included.
It was put on hold when Atari filed for bankruptcy, but was ultimately Un-Canceled with the release of Classic in December 2016. A port of the original version for iOS and Android devices was planned for release in early 2013. The original game was ported to Xbox in 2004, and ended up being mostly the same, though its controls were largely unsuited for a gamepad.
The most recent main game, titled World, is developed by Nvizzio Creations for Windows and Linux. The third game, which made the Video Game 3D Leap, was developed by Frontier Developments, who later went on the create the spiritual successor Planet Coaster.
